Milan to wear special shirt on Sunday in honor of Chapecoense : the latest

Milan have decided to wear a special shirt on Sunday in honor of Chapecoense. The airplane which was transporting the Chapecoense players crashed in the Medellin Moutains a few days ago, killing practically the entire team. The rossoneri club will hit the pitch on Sunday with a special shirt that will have the Chapecoense Scudetto symbol (on a sleeve) and a "Forca Chape" message (on the back of the shirt).

Milan beat Empoli last week-end 1-4 and by doing so, they are now tied with Roma in second place and are only four points off current Italian Serie A leader's Juventus. Today, Jack Bonaventura, Mati Fernandez and Davide Calabria had a therapy day as they are recuperating from their respective injuries. As for Carlos Bacca, he still did not train with the rest of the team which means that his presence against Crotone (in Milan's starting eleven) seems unlikely. It should be Gianluca Lapadula who will get the nod for Milan. Lapadula scored twice against Empoli last week and he had also scored an important goal a few weeks ago against Palermo in a 2-1 Milan win. Suso Fernandez and Mbaye Niang will likely be his offensive partners this Sunday versus Crotone (who are currently in 19th place in the Serie A standings).
