Milan plan new stadium along with Chinese takeover

AC Milan's current negotiations with a Chinese consortium could have consequences on a number of fronts.

One of them is an open wound for the Rossoneri, namely the stadium situation. According to local paper Il Giorno, who quote sources inside Forza Italia (Silvio Berlusconi's political party), the Rossoneri have already contacted Unipol, an Italian financial services company, to buy a plot of land on Via Stephenson, between the Musocco and Expo site.

The Rossoneri had previously tried to redevelop the Fondazione Fiera plot in Milan, but were unable to obtain it and ended up in court with the Fondazione.

The plot currently has nothing more than a series of old, disuses warehouses.

The new Stadium will reportedly be named after Silvio Berlusconi.
