Milan scouting Thill, the new Pjanic

Important comparisons and a player under observation from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and more importantly, Milan; Vincent Thill is one of the emerging young talents in European football. A talent that has only just turned 16 years of age but has already tasted international football.

Born in Luxembourg, this attacking midfielder came through the youth ranks at Metz having been at the French club since he was 11-years-old. Back in his homeland he is considered as the new Miralem Pjanic having taken similar paths in their careers via Luxembourg and France. Football runs in his family with both his brothers, Sébastien and Olivier, carving out careers for themselves. His six year old sibling Marek is already demonstrating the skills to follow in his brothers’ footsteps. Still waiting to make his first-team debut with Metz, who currently play in Ligue 2, he made his international bow last month for Luxembourg, coming on as a second-half substitute against Bosnia. At 16 years and 50 days, he becomes the youngest player to represent his country at full international level.

His family has his best interests at heart however, and having already attracted the interests of Adidas, his father stated that; “I spoke to people who represent Yaya Toure after Vicent scored against Serbia and Austria for the Under 17 national team and on Facebook I’ve contacted at least 25 other agents”. Milan remains attentive as Thill looks forward to a bright future.
