AC Milan, sparks fly between Montella and Mirabelli after loss
According to our sources, despite some differenceof views, the club is attempting to back up its coach. There is tension between the ranks after Milan suffered a heavy defeat to Lazio earlier in the season, and most recently succumbed to a 0-2 defeat at Sampdoria.
Milan struggled to trouble Sampdoria keeper Christian Puggioni, as goals from Duvan Zapata and former Inter man Ricky Alvarez sealed their fate.
As a result of the loss Montella fired his fitness coach Emanuele Marra over a disagreement oover Montella's desire to change up their fitness programmes. Marra started working with the former Roma striker since his days coaching at Fiorentina.
Mirabelli is concerned with Montella’s approach and as such a meeting in the forthcoming days to discuss tactics and the aftermath of their loss.
Milan's next match will be against Rijeka in the Europa League.
