Milan update, the latest on their upcoming January moves

Milan have a very strong young core of Italian players within their roster and their goal is to keep adding to what they already have. According to Sky Sport, Milan are very interested in Atalanta duo Roberto Gagliardini and Mattia Caldara. Both are very promising young players and many big Italian clubs (Juve and Inter) are also targeting them.

Another more veteran player that Milan also like very much so from Atalanta is offensive winger Papu Gomez. Roma and Sevilla are also very interested in Gomez but Atalanta do not intend to let him go in January. Atalanta president Percassi promised Gomez that if a fair offer arrives for him next summer, then he will be free to leave. In the mean time, Atalanta would like to hold on to him.

Atalanta have been one of the positive surprises in this years Serie A campaign as they currently are in sixth position in the standings. Coach Gasperini has done a terrific job so far and he will be hoping to retain most of his star players.

Going back to Milan, this will be a lower profile transfer market ahead and this is why they want to target good young Italian players. If the closing then occurs, Milan's summer transfer window should be jam packed with emotions.
