Milito: ‘Inter shouldn’t have sacked De Boer’

Former Inter striker Diego Milito has talked to La Gazzetta Sportiva ahead of tonight’s Milan derby. El Principe has revealed that he believes Inter shouldn’t have sacked Frank De Boer despite the Dutchman’s poor start to the season.

“He [De Boer] is a good person and a manager with winning ideas. He could have given the club a new mentality, he needed more time and I’m sure he would have snatched good results. I hope Inter can finish third, but it’s just too early to talk about it now.”

Milito is not the only former Inter player to claim that the club shouldn’t have sacked De Boer as 2010 treble hero Wesley Snijder has also told La Gazzetta Sportiva that his compatriot should have been given more time by the Serie A giants.

Milito, in the end, made s quick analysis on both Milan teams.

“I respect Montella, but I don’t know whether AC Milan are the favourites or not. Derbies can subvert predictions. Inter’s squad is better than AC Milan’s but the rossoneri are a true team.”
