Monaco want £125m Arsenal target to stay

Leonardo Jardim hopes that Monaco will be able to hold on to Kylian M'Bappé.

The young Ligue 1 sensation is coming off a star season, and is rumoured to be the subject of an £125 million offer from Arsenal.

Real Madrid and PSG are also reportedly very interested, with Florentino Pérez going as far as talking to the 18-year-old’s family last week.

“I think the club and he will make the best decision," Jardim told RMC Sport (via the Mirror).

The Portuguese guru led Monaco to the Ligue 1 title this season, as well as the Champions League semifinal.

"I have not spoken to him, because he knows how we work, that we want to keep him,” he continued.

"I hope to keep the right players. It is not just me, all the coaches of the world [would] like to keep the best players," he added.

"But with the Monaco project, maybe it's not possible to always keep the best.

"Everyone knows our project. Nothing changed. The project is the same."
