Montella and Mirabelli not on good terms, ‘new’ manager linked with AC Milan job

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella is on the brink after the diavoli’s two defeats in the opening six Serie A games of the season. The Italian tactician had a meeting with Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli the day after AC Milan’s defeat to Sampdoria and the diavoli Director of Football (Mirabelli) is said to have strongly hit out at the Italian tactician for some of his wrong choices in the Marassi clash.

According to today’s edition of La Repubblica, the bad relationship between Mirabelli and Montella could lead to some new changes in the future.

Montella is set to face Roma and Inter in the next to Serie A games and two negative results may persuade the cub to sack the manager and start with a new course already.
The likes of Thomas Tuchel, Paulo Sousa and Carlo Ancelotti are being linked with taking over at the club if Montella is sacked, La Repubblica, however, reports Marcello Lippi is also in line for the rossoneri job.

The former Italy and Juventus manager was reported to be a target of AC Milan also two years ago when Sinisa Mihajlovic was on the brink, now he is again one of the names the diavoli would consider to replace under-fire Montella.

Lippi is the current head coach of China national team.
