If there was any doubt, Riccardo Montolivo has confirmed that he will leave Fiorentina at the end of the season.

The Italian international will be a free agent in the summer and has been linked to Milan, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

“I am sorry to leave Fiorentina, after 7 beautiful years, but I feel my spell at this club has come to an end,” said Montolivo.

Crespo on Roma

The Argentine striker revealed that he once had a chance to join Roma and praised the Giallorossi project, Erik Lamela and Luis Enrique.

“We were in touch several times before and after my move to Inter,” said Crespo.

“Roma are certainly a fascinating club. I think their project with Luis Enrique is wonderful. It is a new way of doing football which is far from easy. But they are being innovative and need to learn. It is a long term project which will pay back next season.

“I was really worried about Erik Lamela because he is young and was paid lots of money. I didn’t expect such an explosive start. His potential is incredible, Roma did a brilliant business. He will become a great player.

Big-Ramirez: The destiny of Uruguayan starlet Gaston Ramirez is to play for a big team, claimed Bologna President Albano Guaraldi: “I don’t know if he will go to Juventus, for now we enjoy having him with us, but he will certainly move to a big club one day”.

Montella after Reja? According to La Repubblica, Vincenzo Montella is Lazio’s first choice if manager Edy Reja was to leave the club in the summer. According to reports, President Claudio Lotito has already approached the former Roma man.
