Napoli doctor 'If Milik continues like this, he could return in January'

After ending the day at Villa Stuart yesterday, the rehabilitation process of Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik has officially started in Castelvorturno. The player has returned to the recovery list about a year after his first serious injury to the left knee for a new problem with the cruciate ligament of his other knee. The problem that occurred in the end of the Serie A match against Spal is serious and required surgery, but according to the Napoli’s medical practitioner Dr. De Nicola, the recovery time could be faster than expected.

"Milik has surprised us again, his knee already has a total extension and a nearly total bounce just a few hours after the intervention. He told us that he is better off facing a situation he has already experienced. He is now still recovering but if he continues like this,  he may already be in January, and we will know this in a month. This operation was more complex but does not necessarily mean that it is worse," said De Nicola to Piuenne. Already last season, the Polish bomber had been able to return to full-fledged activity about 4 months after the injury suffered with his national team, but the recovery was tedious and very gradual, with only 131 minutes of playing time being collected in May because of the explosion by Mertens in the center-forward position.
