Napoli fans give wantaway Gabbiadini a very warm reception
Day 4 of the partenopei’s training camp saw the reserve striker take his turn to approach the faithful and sign some autographs.
The few who were present on the cold day were raucous in their cheering for the striker, who only made four Serie A starts last season and looks set to leave this summer.
With some fans even telling the striker to “stay with us”, Gabbiadini smiled, something nobody had seen in camp so far. The Bergamo native is very popular round these parts, despite being Gonzalo Higuain’s talented reserve.
Another funny incident saw a local fan ask Pepe Reina for a photo in Spanish, only for the shotstopper to reply… in Neapolitan! “Vien accà” (come here!) was the response, with the two happily posing for their picture.
A number of rival Italian clubs - including Inter- would very much like to take Gabbiadini off De Laurentiis' hands... but he won't come cheap.
