Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and according to The Sun, he’s prepared to launch a mega-bid in order to get him.
 

The journal states that the Premier League side are unwilling to make a January move for the 25-year-old Senegalese international due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations. However, what the Italian wants is to bring the player to Stamford Bridge in the summer by tabling a bid of £50 million. A source close to the player stated that; “It is impossible for Koulibaly to go to Chelsea in January because of the African Cup of Nations. He is happy at Napoli, wants to stay there and likes it in Serie A. He won’t be sold until June”.  

Koulibaly signed a new deal five-year with Napoli in September with the southern Italian club placing a value of around €70 million on their star defender. A lot may hinge on where the vesuviani finish at the end of the current season; failure to reach the Champions League next season would almost guarantee his departure.
