Eduardo Vargas keeps on being at the centre of transfer speculation and the Chilean striker reportedly received an offer from Napoli.

According to the President of Universidad de Chile, the Azzurri sent their emissary to discuss the deal.

“Some emissary from Italy came to sign Vargas for Napoli,” President Federico Valdes told Chilean newspaper Emol.

“They offered approximately $16M (between 12-13M Euros).”

Vargas was the star man in the Copa Sudamerica leading his team to the title. But Napoli will have to beat competition from Inter and Chelsea in order to sign him.
