Napoli, Maurizio Sarri comments on the future of Everton target Gabbiadini

Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has had a pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A match against Milan, but the Italian gaffer had to reply to many questions regarding the transfer market as well.

“I don’t care about transfer rumours, I play those who I train during the week and the club never told me that he is not available. He usually suffers a bit at the beginning of the season, but I think extremely high of him. Our poor first half against Pescara is not his fault.”

“The AC Milan clash will be nothing easy. Montella has given them an identity. They made an astonishing transfer campaign last summer and new signings can do well. Milik has plenty of room to improve.”

“Tomorrow’s game will depend more on physical condition rather than the teams’ strength.”

“Mertens’ wrong if he thinks that he can condition my decisions with a bad glance. But if he scores two goals a day he can even watch me while I am having shower, I am ok with that [he laughs].”

“I am not thinking about Cavani, I think about AC Milan, otherwise I wouldn’t prepare the game the right way. Napoli can give you a lot. Other clubs can give you the money, but you feel something special when you play for this club. I can promise fans we are not going to have the same approach we had against Pescara.”
