Napoli-Milan: OPTA facts and probable starting line-ups

Napoli kick-off their home campaign with a important fixture against Milan. Last weekend's surprise draw in Pescara (where a Dries Mertens double saved their blushes) means that coach Maurizio Sarri will want his team to get their season right back on track in front of the home support. Mertens' oustanding contribution to last weeks comeback means he will in all probability, be favoured over the man he replaced last weekend, Lorenzo Insigne. Manolo Gabbiadini's imminent departure from the club should see new summer signing Arek Milik make his home debut.

Milan are without the suspended Gabriel Paletta after his controversial sending-off in the home win over Torino. New summer signing Gustavo Gomez should deputise at centre-back. Italian international Mattia De Sciglio is ready to return but will probably start from the bench at the San Paolo.
