    Napoli still far from agreement with Witsel

    Napoli are still looking to sign at least a couple of new centre midfielder to add some depth to the team for the next Champions League campaign. The partenopei Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli met Axel Witsel’s entourage earlier today offering the player a salary of € 2.5 million a year plus bonus.

    Trobule is, Witsel has requested € 4 million a year and his club Zenit have slapped € 25 million price-tag on the Belgium International. An agreement between the three parties involved is still far from being reached and Napoli will consider whether to make a new bid in the future or give up on the player.

    Everton, AS Roma, Juventus and AC Milan are linked with welcoming the player’s services.

    Witsel runs out of contract in 2017 and has already revealed that he will be leaving Zenit this summer.
