Napoli wants to include release clause in Arsenal target Hysaj’s contract

Elseid Hysaj was one of the best players of Albania national team at EURO 2016. The 22-year-old right-back played his first season at Napoli in the 2015-16 campaign and has attracted the interest of some of the best European clubs out there.

Arsenal and Barcelona are rumoured to be interested in welcoming the player’s services. The blaugrana are looking for a replacement of Dani Alves who has just signed with Juventus, but Luis Enrique has also added Hector Bellerin in his shopping list.

Arsenal would pounce on Hysaj, should they sell the Spain International to Barcelona.

Napoli are working to extend the player’s deal which expires in 2020. The partenopei want to add a € 25 million release clause in the new contract of the defender, but Hysaj’s agents believe that the fee proposed by Napoli is too high and could discourage potential suitors.

Hysaj is happy to stay at Napoli and the two parties are still negotiating the player’s contract extension.
