NEWS BRITANNIA: Man Utd’s £100m bid; Man City eye big stars

Manchester United have told Juventus that they have the necessary funds in place to complete a sensational swoop for their former midfielder Paul Pogba. The 23-year-old left Old Trafford four years ago after a falling out with then manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and now the Daily Mail report that the Red Devils are ready to make him one of the best-paid players in the world. Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City have reportedly been scared off by the nine-figure price tag, leaving Manchester United as the only contender left in the running.

Not to be completely out-done by their rivals, the Daily Mirror report that Barcelona’s Luis Suarez and Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos are both on Pep Guardiola’s wishlist at Manchester City this summer. Manchester City have already completed moves for Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito, but Guardiola still wants to make a ‘wow’ signing and not be completely overshadowed by Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, who has added Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to his squad.
