‘Neymar told me to join Barcelona’, Real Madrid defender says

Real Madrid defender Danilo will probably leave the Spanish capital in the summer. The Brazilian has failed to live up to expectations during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu and according to several reports in Italy the former Porto star is being linked with a move to Juventus with the Old Lady who is looking to replace Man City-bound Dani Alves.

Danilo, however, has just released an interview with Sport TV in Brazil to say that he’s happy in the Spanish capital.

“There is lot of pressure when you play for a club like Real Madrid. Every small mistake can become very big and of course any good thing you do can become big as well. However, I am very happy here and I am looking forward for the new season to begin as I want to make history.”

“I’ve gone through hard times during these two seasons at Real. I had never experienced those kind of problems.”

“When I joined Real Madrid two years ago I had many offers on the table but when I knew Real Madrid were interested I decided to join them. Neymar called me to persuade me to move to Barcelona but he knew how much I like Real Madrid and he respected my decision.”
