OFFICIAL: Bayern sign Man Utd targets Mats Hummels and Renato Sanches!
The Bavarians have also announced the signing of another Red Devils' target: Mats Hummels. The Germany International had handed in Borussia Dortmund transfer request last month, asking to join their hatred rivals.
Both clubs have announced that Hummels, 27, will join the Allianz Arena from the 1st of July 2017 and that he has signed a contract expiring in June 2021.
The player's price has not been revealed, but his summer move to Bayern Munich is official. You can read the Bavarians' official statement and BVB's Tweet below.
“FC Bayern München, World Cup winner Mats Hummels (27) and Borussia Dortmund have agreed terms bringing the defender to FCB for the start of the 2016/17 season. Hummels, who grew up in Munich and is a product of the club’s youth academy, will undergo the obligatory pre-transfer medical in Munich before signing a five-year contract binding him to the German champions until 30 June 2021.”
“We are delighted that Mats Hummels has decided in favour of FC Bayern,” commented FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “Mats is one of the best centre-backs in the world. With him we will increase the quality in our team even further.”
The player joins FC Bayern for an undisclosed fee.
