Official: Everton announce their fourth summer signing

Everton have completed the signing of U21 Spain star Sandro Ramirez, the club have confirmed through their official website.

The 21-year-old managed 16 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions with Malaga last season. According to reports in England, the Toffees have sealed the striker’s transfer for £ 5.2 million (roughly € 6 million) and the player has signed a contract until June 2021.

The Spaniard is Everton’s fourth summer signings after that the likes of Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen and Henry Onyekuru.

“I’m very happy, this is a big step in my career. I know I’m signing for a massive club in England. Everton is the ideal place for me, I’ve got the ideal manager who is going to keep giving me the confidence to improve my game”, the former Barcelona starlet told the club’s official website.

Sandro’s U21 Spain national team have just finished as runner-ups in the U21 European Championship, losing the final against Germany. His arrival at the Goodsion Park throws the future of Romelu Lukaku into doubt although the Spaniard can either play as main striker or attacking winger.
