    The news item was in the air, but now it’s official: the 32-year-old goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has extended his deal with Lazio –that was going to expire at the end of the current season- until June 2018.
     
    Such renewal is extremely important also considering the difficulties for the biancocelesti to obtain Hajduk Split 25-year-old Lovre Kalinic.
     
    In the last weeks there have been many rumors regarding Marchetti’s future; it seems that Liverpool were concretely interested in the Italian shot-stopper, who could have joined them next summer as a free agent.
