OFFICIAL: Mauro Icardi out of AS Roma clash
Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has not called Argentinean striker Mauro Icardi for the Nerazzurri’s vital Serie A clash against direct rivals AS Roma.
Icardi, 23, picked up a muscle injury during Inter’s 2-1 win over Bologna last week end and will be forced to miss AS Roma clash together with Stevan Jovetic, who’s also injured and suspended Rodrigo Palacio.
Former Sampdoria star Eder is expected to start the game and replace Icardi at the Olimpico tomorrow night.
Inter have won all their previous six seasonal meetings played without Icardi. That was against Carpi, AS Roma and Genoa in Serie A and against Cagliari, Napoli and Juventus in Coppa Italia.
