Reports out of Sky Sport have announced that it is official between Roma and Defrel. After seven months of negotiation, there is finally a conclusion. Roma will take Gregoire Defrel from Sassuolo. The Giallorossi have just closed the purchase of the French striker from Squinzi's club. After the first approaches in January's market session, the long negotiations look to be finished. Following a meeting with agent Pocetta, an agreement among the clubs and player was found on the basis of 20 million EUR plus bonuses. The payment will start with a 5 million EUR loan, then 15 million later plus bonuses.

This comes as positive news for Eusebio Di Francesco, who already knows the player very well, and is ready to welcome a versatile attacker who can play off of Dzeko. Next Roma will push to find a substitute for Mohamed Salah, who went to Liverpool. In their dreams there is always Riyad Mahrez, a character in Claudio Ranieri's Leicester fairytale. His team, however, continues to ask for 35 million EUR, which is still too much for the capital club.
