Official: Stoke City flop joins Toulouse on loan

Giannelli Imbula has been loaned to Toulouse for a season.

The Ligue 1 club has announced the news today (see tweet below).

The Stoke City midfielder has not exactly been a hit since joining the Potters in 2016 for a significant €24 million.

Initially struggling for form, the Belgian found himself on the bench, despite having Champions League experience under his belt.

Giannelli Imbula is being linked to a move to Monaco, according to the latest reports from Footmercato.

Despite boasting experience with a reputable club like Marseille, Imbula has shown very little of his talent, despite Joe Allen going down with an injury last season.

Speaking about Imbula earlier this month, Coach Mark Hugher claimed that Imbula "is a good player, and that's why we invested the money we did and we feel there's more to come from a football point of view and we will do our best to bring that out”.
