One day in, only ELEVEN Lazio fans have signed up for season tickets

It appears that Lazio fans are tiring of their own team, and especially of owner Claudio Lotito.

Today marks the twelth anniversary of the Roman businessman's takeover of the club, and also the opening of the sale of season tickets at the Olimpico.

It's been nothing short of a disaster so far, with only eleven fans signing up for the scheme.

Lazio's ultras have long been opposed to their president, and have invited other fans to desert the team on masse, something the supposed faithful often did last season.

This looks to be a huge blow to the club, which ties in neatly with its failure to secure Coach Marcelo Bielsa, or make supporters believe that they have a plan.

Truth is, despite his unpopularity, Lotito has put what was a heavily indebted club back on sound financial footing, having taken over after previous owner Sergio Cragnotti's Cirio group had gone bankrupt.

And it's not like Lazio have been inactive on the transfer market: beyond all the negotiations director of sport recently revealed, the Laziali are also pursuing Ciro Immobile, whose agents are set to meet Lotito in Rome today.

The Sevilla striker could join for €2 million upfront, and a compulsory buyback of €8m.

Lazio fans won't let that fluster them: so far, the vibe in both Rome and Auronzo di Cadore (their training camp HQ) is very bad, with no flags or banners being hung by the faithful.
