Reported Juventus target Oscar has stated that he wants to play a leading role at Chelsea next season under incoming boss Antonio Conte. The Brazilian trequartista missed the first part of the season through injury, but is looking ahead to better times and seems to have no intention of a move to Turin or Serie A:

"It was very hard for me [the start of the season, editor’s note] because I was coming off the back of a few positive seasons. Unfortunately, I got injured in the first part of the campaign and when I was fit again I was often excluded from the starting line-up and on the bench. I haven’t been able to find my peak shape this season, but I am eager to get back to my usual levels. The appointment of Antonio Conte is positive for everyone, us players above all who want to be ready right away. I am certain that Conte has been keeping an eye on all of us individually. His arrival will be a breath of fresh air and everyone is massively determined to show what they are capable of. It will be a new start under Conte."
