Ozil seeking a quick move to Inter?

  • Matthew
A move away from The Emirates may come sooner than later for midfielder Mesut Ozil. The German international, who is injured, has been excluded from the German national team’s next two matches in October. As a result, his status for the 2018 World Cup in Russia is a question.

The Arsenal playmaker is having a difficult season in London, and has reportedly decided to make a move to resurrect his career. He has no intention on missing out on the tournament, as Germany looks to repeat as world champions.

Inter has continued to keep a close eye on Ozil, whose contract in London expires at the end of the campaign. Earlier reports indicate that there exists the potential for Oil and Joao Mario to swap clubs in January. Both players have underwhelmed, and are seeking fresh starts.

The German international moved from Real Madrid to Arsenal in 2013 for €50 million. As his chances of missing the World Cup increase, it’s likely he’ll be hastening his search for a new club to reignite his career.
