According to Sky Sport 24, Fabio Capello could make a sensational return to Italy by taking charge of Palermo.

The manager, who just recently quit the England job, is a good friend of Rosanero new director Christian Panucci.

The key to bring Capello in Sicily is the arrival of Arab investors at the club. In the meantime, Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has already denied these rumours.

“I wish Capello could come but Palermo cannot guarantee what he needs both financially and in terms of fame,” the patron told Mediagol.it.

“In Italy we can only pay one fifth of what he could earn in China or Russia and I believe he will be off there soon.”

  • Juve: Del Piero out, Rossi in!
