Paper Talk: Juventus close in on Chelsea midfielder before setting their sights on Liverpool ace

Juventus are ready to close out a deal for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic. Corriere dello Sport writes this morning that the Bianconeri are close to agreeing a deal with the Premier League champions for the 28-year-old Serbian international who arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2014.

The journal states that since the weekend arrival of Frenchman Tiemoue Bakayoko, Matic will not travel to the Far-East with the rest of the squad for their summer tour and will be able to plan his next destination. That destination is looking likely to be Turin despite recent reports linking him to a move to Manchester United to reunite with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho. Juventus however are understood to be trying to get the €45M asking price lowered but it’s believed that the two clubs will find a satisfactory agreement.
