PAPER TALK: Everton target set for Napoli renewal; Zaza gets thumbs up from Payet

One of Everton’s main summer transfer targets, Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini is set to sign a new deal at Napoli. Corriere dello Sport states that the 24-year-old will remain at the southern giants despite strong reports that he would leave during the last transfer window.

Everton had tabled a €25 million bid for the player who has been unhappy at his lack of first-team action at the vesuviani. With the arrival of Arek Milik and the sparkling early season form of Dries Mertens, the Toffees looked to have offered the Italian international a lifeline, but President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has been quick to reassure the Gabbiadini that he has a future at the San Paolo.
