Paper Talk: Juventus line up possible replacements for Buffon, Musacchio back on AC Milan’s radar

Gianluig Buffon is set to retire in 2018 after the World Cup that will be played in Russia in that year. The Italian goalkeeper has been playing for Juventus since 2001 and the Old Lady is already looking for a successor that can cope with pressure of replacing one of the best goalkeeper in the history of the game.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, AC Milan shot-stopper tops the Serie A giants’ shopping list even if taking him from their hatred rivals will be nothing easy. Donnarumma is Buffon’s natural heir at Italy and Marotta wants him to pick up the baton of Buffon at Juventus as well.

Should the Serie A champions fail to seal Donnarumma, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois would be the chosen one as Antonio Conte also wants Donnarumma and may offload the Belgian goalkeeper if he manages to sign the 17-year-old goalkeeper in the future.

PSG’s Alphonse Areola and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak are also on the Old Lady’s shopping list as Juventus are already thinking about their life after Buffon.

Meantime, AC Milan are being linked with signing Mateo Musacchio again. The Argentinean defender was on the club’s radars last summer but the rossoneri failed to make a cash offer as due to ongoing negotiations for the club’s takeover, Galliani could only offer  a loan deal with option to buy.

According to Tuttosport, however, with Sino-Europe close to completing the club’s takeover, the rossoneri might invest € 25-30 million to sign the soli-rock in the summer transfer window and add some depth to Montella’s squad aiming to return to Champions League football next season.
