PAPER TALK: Juventus rival EPL giants for Kessie, Spalletti in no rush over new Roma contract

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus do not want to miss out on one of the most promising midfielders in Serie A so far: Frank Kessie. The Ivorian midfielder has netted three goals in the opening four league games this season and the Old Lady is reportedly ready to invest € 10 million to get a first-option to sign the 19-year-old midfielder.

Kessie, a former Cesena man, will be scouted during tonight’s Palermo clash by both Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, calciomercato.com has exclusively learned.

Meantime, AS Roma want to extend Luciano Spalletti’s contract as the Italian tactician’s deal runs until the end of the current campaign.

James Pallotta told Sky Italia yesterday that he wants Spalletti to ‘stay at the club for as long as possible’. The Italian tactician, however, has told journalists that his future at the club depends on ‘behaviour and results’.

‘When you coach a club like Roma, you can’t think to use the same method for two or three years, we are building our future right now, it is still too early to talk about that (contract extension).
