Paper Talk: The Italian front pages

It’s been a sensational week in the transfer window in Serie A and this morning’s front pages of Italy’s three biggest selling sports journals are bursting at the seams after Leonardo Bonucci’s move from Juventus to Milan.

Away from this news however, Corriere dello Sport declares on its cover that the Rossoneri will now turn their attentions to a new striker with Torino’s Andrea Belotti now reported to be the primary target. The journal also states that Inter will make an approach to Bayern Munich for Arturo Vidal with Roma setting their sights on Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez. Juventus are never out of the headlines of course and the Old Lady are linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Tuttosport leads with Chelsea’s reported €100M move for Juventus frontman Gonzalo Higuain and there is also more fall-out from the Bonucci move with the Italian international now calling Spanish striker Alvaro Morata to join him at the San Siro.

La Gazzetta dello Sport's front cover shows a beaming Bonucci after signing his five-year deal at Milan and the pink paper also looks across the city at Inters reported quest for Nice defender Dalbert. Lucas Leiva’s move from Liverpool to Lazio comes under the microscope with Juventus also linked with a move for Roma central defender Kostas Manolas. There’s more on Friday’s breaking story that Sampdoria are interested in Jack Wilshere with Torino reportedly in pursuit of Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah.
