Pasqual hits out at Paulo Sousa: ‘He didn’t say things to my face’

Manuel Pasqual played his last game with Fiorentina last Sunday and today he has analyzed his ten year spell at the club, giving also an explanation for his farewell to La Viola.

“Sousa did not say things to my face. He took me off the captain band without saying a word, just like no one told me that Palermo game was my last one at the Franchi.”

“Of course it was Sousa who decided that, so you have to ask things to him. I know my character, but that’s how a captain has to be. The captain represents the city and the team. I thought I was the right person for that role.”

“I have no regrets, I am proud of myself.”

“I say thank you to the club. They allowed me to play many years in one of the most important clubs in Italy. The city is also great, I spent an amazing time here with my family and my children were born here.”
