Pelè on Juve’s Argentine attacker 'He is not as strong as they say'

Pelé, legend of Brazil, speaks of Paulo Dybala, Juventus and Argentina striker, after the victory of the Albacete against Greenland. "Dybala? He is not as strong as they say. They say he might be the heir to Maradona but the only thing that they have in common is to kick with their left foot." The words from the legendary numero 10 will always come with a grain of salt, considering the assessments he has made in the past, but nonetheless the words of a great will always be made public.

The 23 year old Bianconeri attacker is just recently coming off a Champions League final loss to Real Madrid, after having contributed very successfully in the quarter and semi finals of the tournament. Dybala’s 11 goals in Serie A this season are not nearly as impressive of a tally as his 19 last year, but considering his movement back into the midfield this is still a respectable number. Having been called up to the Argentine national team more prominently of late, it is still to be seen what the potential of the left footed forward can reach. Perhaps, as Pelé says he will not be the next Maradona or Messi, but should he continue to stay in a top side and improve there is no doubt that Dybala’s true value is yet to be seen.
