Perez declares Real Madrid have made no contact for De Gea; & on Donnarumma....

Florentino Perez begins another term in office at Real Madrid and the patron has been speaking to reporters in Spain about the clubs summer transfer policy. With issues surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible departure still high on the agenda, Perez decided to focus his attention on the goalkeeping situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

When asked by Onda Cero (via The Mirror) if he had made contact with Manchester United over Spanish number one David De Gea he stated that; “We haven't spoken to De Gea. Two years ago we had an issue and then the appropriate circumstances didn't arise. The players are very fond of Keylor and also the coach. I like Keylor Navas."

The conversation then diverted to Milan custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma who last week declared he would not be signing an extension with the Rossoneri beyond 2018. Perez explained that; “Everyone says he's a great player, he's going to be the substitute for Buffon and he seems to have very good manners. Surely we are watching him. But we will not talk about what we are doing."

Previous reports had stated that Real had offered the 18-year-old €6M net per season to make the summer switch to the Spanish capital but these have been denied by the club.
