Pjanic: ‘Juventus can do more’

Today’s editions of Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report an interview with Juventus’ midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The Bosnia and Herzegovina International has talked about the beginning of the season and his struggles to settle in well in his new club, despite his last, brilliant game against Atalanta.

“The problem is not my position in the pitch. I’ve been playing as centre midfielder for five years, but there is a new style here and I’m trying to come to terms with it. At AS Roma there were more short posses and much more ball possession. I’m taking longer than expected to settle in well, but the only thing that matters is to see Juventus win. I’m relaxed, I know I’ll prove my qualities.”

“Of course there have been criticisms, we have to improve our style and I can say that I have yet to show who the true Pjanic is, we can do more but it is important not to lose many games. After the defeat against Genoa we talked about what was going on, about things we should’ve improved. There is a winning mentality at this club. Higuain needs no assists, he’s so strong he can score goals on his own.”
