Pochettino: 'Heung-Min Son wanted to leave Tottenham'
The scorer of four goals in last season's Premier League, the Korean looked to leave Tottenham and return to Germany, where he was a star ar Bayer Leverkusen.
This was all confirmed by Coach Mauricio Pochettino, who also claims that the winger had come to him to ask him for his help.
"For him last season was tough. He came to see me and said 'I need your help'," Pochettino said.
"But it's true from the beginning after the Olympic Games his idea was to leave to go to Germany. One thing is what the player wants, the other is the club decision".
Things have gone a lot better for him since, however, netting four goals in his last six Premier League appearances.
"In the end," Pochettino confirmed, "he accepted to stay and fight for his position."
