Possible new AC Milan board members revealed

Italian news outlet LaRepubblica.it has revealed the possible new members of AC Milan’s board of directors. Marco Fassone is set to replace Adriano Galliani as the club’s CEO once Sino-Europe completes the club’s takeover.

According to the Italian website, the new board of director will be composed by seven new members; four of them will be directly picked by the new owners.

Marco Fassone will be one of the new members, but who are the other three? La Repubblica claims that Fabrizio Viola, a former Monte dei Paschi di Siena CEO is going to be named as one of the new members, whilst Marco Patuano, Roberto Italia and Sergio Iasi, who are not only respected managers but are also well-known fans of AC Milan, will be considered for the remaining three spots.

Sino-Europe is said to be going to complete the Serie A club’s takeover in one month, probably in the first week of December.

Silvio Berlusconi is set to remain at the club as honorary president, whilst Adriano Galliani is set to step back as AC Milan’s CEO after covering the role for more 30 years.
