Premier League winning Coach wanted by Crystal Palace, meets Ligue 1 club

Claudio Ranieri has met with a Ligue 1 club, and is also being chased by Crystal Palace, according to reports from France.

Ranieri is reported to have met with Nantes owner Waldemar Kita in Paris, with Ouest-France claiming that the meeting took place on Sunday.

The Italian led Leicester City to a shocking Premier League triumph in 2015-2016, but was fired last season, with Craig Shakespeare doing a great job to help the Foxes recover from their slump and finish in the Top 10.

The veteran Coach is being slated by Nantes to replace Sergio Conceicao, who helped Nantes score an amazing seventh place finish in Ligue 1 last season, and has since been hired as Porto’s new manager.

Palace, for their part, are looking to replace Sam Allardyce, who retired at the end of last season after leading the Eagles to safety.

Though he was recently linked to AS Saint-Etienne, it looks like Ranieri’s chances of going there aren’t high anymore, with Patrick Vieira and Oscar Garcia also being sounded out.
