Roma's unconvincing draw against a struggling Milan left a bitter taste in James Pallotta’s mouth. The Giallorossi president voiced his frustration with his team after yesterday’s 1-1 stalemate.

We still don’t know whether Pallotta will sack Rudi Garcia or not. The manager definitely has some responsibility in Roma’s poor performances, but I reckon that the former Lille gaffer is also the victim of his own club, and one that has committed all kinds of mistakes so far.

First of all, it was Pallotta himself who named the team’s physical trainer last summer, discrediting the manager to his team and to the whole football world.

Well, I believe that Roma’s physical condition is one of the main problems at the club right now.

There is no doubt that the Giallorossi are not in shape, and that they are lacking of stamina and have no energy in their legs.

Is it any surprise that they relinquished leads against both Chievo and Milan?  How can this be the manager’s fault?

Secondly, the whole transfer strategy was decided by Walter Sabatini. Though he consulted Rudi Garcia, in the end he is the one who had the final call.

There’s not a shadow of doubt that Sabatini signed the wrong players.

Roma are lacking right-backs: Florenzi is a converted midfielder, and Maicon is failing to find both form and consistency. Lucas Digne is the only left-back, and Kostas Manolas the only reliable centre-back, as both Antonio Rudiger and Castan have been busy recovering from their injuries.

If you are still not aware of this, it's worth repeating that Pallotta has full confidence in Sabatini, giving his right-hand man carte blanche in the transfer market.

In addition, the president’s s work has pushed Roma fans away from the Olimpico during match-days.

It feels like a lot of people have to be blamed for Roma's struggles this season, from the manager and the president to the front office.

Ultimately, however, one man was in control, and that's president James Pallotta. We think that sacking himself could be the best decision that he could take for the club right now.
