PSG make €75m bid for ex-Man United target

PSG are very interested in signing Jan Oblak.

The Corriere dello Sport reveal that the Ligue 1 stalwarts have made a €75 million offer to Atletico Madrid.

Though he joined as Thibaut Courtois’ successor, the Slovenian international quickly established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, enough to attract Manchester United’s interest, in case David De Gea moved to Real Madrid.

The Italian outlet confirms, however, that Atleti rejected the offer out of hand. It might have something to do with their transfer ban, which will prevent them from signing anyone until January of next year.

It looks like Atletico are just as keen to ramp up Oblak’s price as they’ve always been, claiming that their man will only leave if his €100 million release clause is activated.

PSG are very busy on the goalkeeper front, seeing as Kevin Trapp hasn’t lived up to expectations.

New sporting director Antero Henrique was in Italy lately, Gianluca Di Marzio confirms, so that he could negotiate with Milan over Gigi Donnarumma, who is also on Manchester United and Real Madrid’s respective radars.
