PSG make huge bids for Barca, Real targets to keep Verratti

PSG have been making huge bids left, right and centre in order to convince Marco Verratti to stay.

They have, according to Fichajes, made massive offers for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, James Rodriguez of Real Madrid and Kylian M’Bappe’ of Monaco.

The Italian has long been linked to Barcelona, and has let the Ligue 1 stalwarts know that he wants out of the Parc des Princes.

Rather than humour any of this, Paris Saint-Germain have told the 24-year-old that he’s an indispensable component of their future plans.

This decision to go all out may owe to the Italian (and his entourage’s) repeated hints that the Parisians weren’t competitive enough, especially not in the Champions League.

The winners of five straight Ligue 1 titles before they were dethroned by Monaco, PSG have also chased Pepe, Fabinho, Jonas Hector and Yuri Berchiche in order to bolster their squad.

Their more expensive targets will cost them a lot, however: James between 75 and 80 million, Coutinho around 100 million and M’Bappe likely even more than that.
