PSG reject 100 million bid from Barcelona for Verratti

The saga surrounding the next move for Italian international midfielder Marco Verratti looks to have taken another twist, with reports from France suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain have rejected a €100M offer from Barcelona for the 24-year-old.
It’s now believed that his current employers are looking to offer the player a bumper new deal to stay in the French capital despite reports in over the past 48 hours claiming he had handed in a transfer request.

This new contract is thought to be worth somewhere between €6-10M-a-season net and there are also reports today that Verratti is about to purchase a new house in Neuilly, one of the city’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.

These reports contradict those from Spain where it’s claimed that Verratti has told PSG chiefs that he wants to make that move to the Camp Nou. Mundo Deportivo’s front page leads with the fact that Barcelona will get their man after PSG sporting director Anter Henrique met with his Verratti’s agent Donato Di Campli yesterday.
