PSG to make €100m signing to keep Barcelona wannabe

PSG have a plan to keep Marco Verratti from leaving.

The Italian has been heavily linked to Barcelona, and was recently photographed holding an edition of El Mundo Deportivo, one which had him moving to the Camp Nou.

Recent reports even have the 24-year-old asking PSG to let him leave.

The Ligue 1 giants have a plan, however, the Gazzetta dello Sport revealing that they want to make the team stronger in order to keep him at the Parc des Princes.

The idea is to sign Andrea Belotti, the striker who is wanted by Manchester United, but which Torino president Urbano Cairo recently said was worth €100 million.

The Italian could help facilitate the operation, however, as he’s reportedly very enticed at the possibility of playing in France.

He’d be behind Edinson Cavani, who is coming off a blockbuster season.

Would this be enough for Verratti? His agent, Donato Di Campli, recently mentioned that leaving PSG would be a question of prestige, saying that:

“It’s pretty much clear that money isn’t enough, that [teams] need appeal, and in the last four/five years the French club haven’t done much to increase theirs.

“Juventus are far more attractive, because Champions are attracted to winning teams”.
