PSG won't budge over €100m Barca, Man United target

PSG won’t let Marco Verratti go, despite strong interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid, among others.

The Gazzetta dello Sport write that the Ligue 1 side’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has put his foot down and won’t sell the Italian.

This is despite the fact that Barcelona are set to offer 100 million for him, and the 24-year-old is being enticed with a 10m a year salary - all things that are expected to happen in the next few hours.

The Qatari magnate won’t, it is reported, budge even if the offer increases to 150m. This is all consistent with a meeting held between agent Donato Di Campli and sporting director Antero Henrique.

The 24-year-old is not getting on with the Parisian side, having not taken their alleged lack of competitiveness well, PSG never reaching a Champions League final in his time there.

Verratti has scored three goals and made seven assists this season, having his playing time cut short by recovery from a sports hernia.
