Raiola says Conte could have joined AC Milan, admits Donnarumma may leave

Powerful Italian agent Mino Raiola has released an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport to talk about the future of some of his clients, especially Gigio Donnarumma who is one of the most wanted players around Europe.

The contract of the 18-year-old goalkeeper expires in June 2018 and his agent has already received several offers to sign him.

“The contract of Donnarumma expires in one year. We’ve never told AC Milan we are going to sign now or we are not going to sign a new agreement at all. If we wanted to go somewhere else we would have done it already.”

“Reaching an agreement now would be very good for both parties but Mirabelli and Fassone have just begun their path, let’s make them work. I’ll take the responsibility for any choice Donnarumma will make, he could either sign a contract extension or leave AC Milan in the summer.”

Talking about Chelsea boss Conte, Raiola said: “I wanted to take him to AC Milan three years ago, if I had managed, AC Milan would have been Serie A champions now. I admire Antonio’s professionalism, he always wants to win. I am not surprised he did at Chelsea.”
