Inter boss Claudio Ranieri revealed he wanted to loan out Luc Castaignos during the January transfer window.

However, the striker, who had offers from Everton as well as several other clubs, is determined to prove his worth with the Nerazzurri.

“Luc wanted to stay at all costs. I was happy to let him go on loan to get more playing time,” Ranieri told Inter Channel.

“I never coached such a talented player of his age. He is incredibly because he always scores in training. But he is a bit shy still.”
