Ranieri: 'We've got balls. No problem with Totti'

  • A.P

Claudio Ranieri was like a storm today in a press conference. Roma's coach didn't want to reply the journalists' questions and had a 9-minute monologue: "I want to speak now. We had poor results and there are no excuses, it's my responsibility. I read that Totti was against me: this is absurd. Our dressing room is healthy. I have a loyal and sincere relationship with everybody, especially with my captain".

"In Munich we had more chances to score than Bayern. We do have a team, this Roma have got balls and will demonstrate it as we did last season. What do you know about Ranieri, of his career? Go and see how many formations I changed. In my career I had 300 moments of difficulty and I never gave up".

Then he clarified on Simplicio: "You say Simplicio never plays. He was injured when he joined us, he' recovered now. Then he started training when De Rossi and Pizarro arrived. In your opinion, who should play? The champions will play, those that gave everything for this team! Simplicio has been a good free acquisition and he will be useful".
